🚌 Stop for School Buses! 🛑
Tiger Family - school buses are back on the roads! Remember, when a school bus stops and extends its stop sign, you MUST stop. No exceptions. Let's keep our kids safe. 🚸
🔹Red Flashing Lights: When the bus stops and the red lights are flashing, you must stop, regardless of the direction you're coming from.
🔹 No Passing: Never pass a stopped school bus. It's against the law and dangerous for children getting on and off the bus.
🔹 Be Patient: A few extra minutes can save a life. Stay alert and always be patient.
Let's work together and make sure our children have a safe journey to and from school.

Tiger Family:
Ardmore City Schools takes every measure to ensure the safety of all students and staff. We know there are always some questions and concerns about safety procedures and communication during and after a crisis and we want to set your mind at ease.
As a district, we constantly search for new and better ways to ensure safety for all. For this reason, we have decided to revise our current safety process to a new Standard Response Protocol program from the “I Love You Guys Foundation”.
Starting this school year, our district will be using the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), which is based on the following 5 actions:
●HOLD - "In Your Room or Area"
●SECURE - "Get Inside. Lock Outside Doors"
●LOCKDOWN - "Locks, Lights, Out of Sight"
●EVACUATE - “To Announced Location”
●SHELTER - “For a Hazard Using a Safety Strategy”
Throughout the rest of the school year, students will be learning how to respond in case of an emergency situation, and they will be able to explain the symbols used, as well as what each action means. We encourage you to go through these actions with your children.
More information can be found on the flier accompanying this letter or on Ardmore City Schools website under the “For Parents” tab. You may also visit iloveyouguys.org. We would like to invite parents and students to review these new safety protocols and procedures together.
It is critical that we have the correct contact information in our offices at all times. This information would be needed to connect students to families if a crisis situation were to occur. In addition, the emergency contact list must include those who could pick up your child after an emergency.
Please feel free to contact the school or our SRO with any questions regarding the Standard Response Protocol. We thank you for your continued support in making sure our schools are a safe place for everyone.
Go Tigers,
Andy Davis
Interim Superintendent
