About Us

Welcome to Ardmore High School

Ardmore High School was built in 1974 and serves approximately 800 students in grades 9-12.  A renovation of the facility took place in 2004 after the passage of a bond election.  Student security is one of our top priorities as you will see when you enter the building.  All visitors must report to the office.  No one is allowed to enter the main academic building and enter the academic student areas without permission.

A source of pride for this community, our staff and student body is the growing opportunity to select pre-advanced and advanced placement classes.  By growing these sections and increasing the level or rigor, we help more children become “college ready.”

Opportunities abound at AHS!

Advanced Placement” (AP) is a program of college-level.  Courses are available in many subject areas, including English, history, humanities, languages, math, psychology and science.

Students are also able to take a multitude of courses at the Southern Oklahoma Technology Center that will prepare them for needed careers in our state and beyond.

Other students can and do enroll concurrently at the University Center of Southern Oklahoma.  Our close proximity to both of these educational institutions allows AHS students valuable college and career options.

There is something for everyone at AHS whether it’s academics, the fine arts, athletics, clubs or organizations.
