Thank you - The $322,642 grant will provide private lessons for band and orchestra students, entry fees and training seminars for our musicians and ACT classes, purchase band equipment for the high school and middle school band programs, provide additional musical supplies for our elementary music programs & fund student enrichment events to include a trip for all third grade students to the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra.

Hard work on the hardwood!

Lady Tigers finished with a 70-26 win yesterday, against Heritage Hall. Senior, J'sades Ainsworth had a triple double 24 points, 12 rebounds and 10 steals. Sophomore, Amaya Gordon also had a triple double 10 points, 11 rebounds, 10 steals. Freshman, Reagan McCurley helped lead the Lady Tigers to victory with 12 points. The Lady Tigers tip off again at 2:30 PM today - Go Tigers!!

Meet senior basketball player, J’Sades Ainsworth

Ainsworth’s plans for after high school are to continue playing basketball in college. J’Sades mentioned her Uncle Darail for being the one to inspire her to play. J’Sades would also like to thank Coach Virgil Harmon Sr., Coach Debra Manley, Coach Bones, and her family for always helping and supporting her. J’Sades is also in AAU basketball.

Meet senior basketball player, Norberto Sanchez

Noberto’s plans after high school are to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University and play basketball. He was inspired by his grandfather, Claud Clifton Jr. as a young child. Claud had him outside playing basketball at 6 years old. Since then, Berto has loved the game of basketball and made the promise to him that he would go play college basketball. Norberto would like to thank his family for pushing him to get this far in school and basketball. He would also like to thank Coach Wilson, Coach Sanders, and Coach Godwin. Especially Coach Godwin, because he has taken extra time to work with him since he was a Freshman and is like a father figure to him.

Congratulations to Destini Sampson for being named to the 2017 Senior All Star Team for Cross Country. Only 10 females make it per class. We are so proud of this girl and all she continues to accomplish this season!

Lady Tiger Basketball

Our Lady Tigers have hit the ground running! Senior, J'sades Ainsworth was invited to the Vype Magazine top 100 Athletes photo shoot. Also, The Lady Tigers were invited to the OK Preps Media Day for the top basketball teams in the state! Amaya Gordon, Miyah McGee, J'sades Ainsworth, and Sierra Gordon were interviewed by Michael Knight with OK Preps. Good Luck to the Lady Tigers this season. We can't wait to see you compete on the hardwood!

AHS Choir Members Receive Top Honors

Mrs. Roxie Woods, Director of Choirs at Ardmore High School, took eight high school choir students (10th-12th grade) to audition at The University of Central Oklahoma on Saturday, November 11th against the top choir students from across the state of Oklahoma. Congratulations to Mrs. Roxie Woods and the following students for making the Oklahoma Music Educators All-State Choir: Senior Landon Johnson, 4th year member, OMEA All-State Mixed Choir; Sophomore Nick Martinez, 3rd year member, OMEA All-State Mixed Choir Alternate; Sophomore Jade Russell, 2nd year member, OMEA All-State Treble Choir.

The Journey Continues..

The Ardmore Tigers will take on the Gutherie Bluejays this Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Noble Stadium. As a reminder veterans and one guest will be admitted free of charge, simply by showing their driver’s license, which has a seal indicating the person is a veteran. If the individual has not renewed their license in the last couple of years, a veteran ID card or any proof of identification is acceptable. We hope to see you there - GO TIGERS!!
